Picture of the Roman factory

Picture of Roman product To celebrate 20 years in business, Roman decided that it was time to give something back to the community that has supported it so well. With 70% of staff based at the Newton Aycliffe factory, the majority of whom are from the surrounding areas, County Durham Foundation presents the ideal way to pay back this debt. Roman’s endowment will be known as the Roman Community Fund and will help those within a 10 mile radius. They have nominated Sean Carmedy Roman’s Purchasing Manager to manage the fund. He will go through all the applications and decide which out of them will benefit the community most, looking to fund such things as; skills development, training and education, sports equipment etc. Gerald Osborne said; “We want to give something back to the communities that have been supporting us for the past twenty years. We are absolutely thrilled to be able to do so more effectively with the help of County Durham Foundation”. Roman are looking forward to working with County Durham Foundation and being able to make a contribution that will benefit their community.
