Latimer Hinks raise £4750 for County Durham Foundation

Latimer Hinks raised £4750 for Darlington Champions Our Gold Darlington Champion, Latimer Hinks Solicitors kindly hosted a Charity Ball to raise money for two charities, we were lucky enough to be one of them, the other was ChildLine.

The evening was a huge success and a fantastic night was had by all.

Darlington Champions Boost Children's Group

A new support group to help children with Down Syndrome learn and have fun is set to expand thanks to support from the Darlington Champions. The Down Syndrome support group was set up in partnership with the national organisation Down Syndrome Educational Trust, which helps pre-school age children with Down Syndrome improve their language, reading, writing and numeracy skills.

Darlington Champions provided a grant of £7,000 to buy new equipment and pay for specialist staff.

Latimer Hinks host more lunches

David Brown, Practicing Consultant at Latimer Hinks has been the first to host awareness raising lunches in aid of Darlington Champions. Latimer Hinks have already held three successful lunches for Darlington Champions, with another two planned for the 12th April and 3rd May 2006.

 

Darlington Building Society increase their fund

Peter Rowley, Managing Director of Darlington Building Society has confirmed that they will be pledging more cash to support good causes in Darlington as a Darlington Champion. This is good news for them as they will be doubling their fund with the BAT Platinum Challenge and good news for Darlington as more good causes can benefit.

 

Darlington  Champions with Gillian Champions Launch a Huge Success!

Darlington’s biggest business leaders joined forces to launch a major campaign to boost charity funds in the borough for decades to come. Darlington Champions already has the backing of big borough businesses who are urging other firms, organisations and individuals to join them.

The first Darlington Champions, who have already contributed over £300,000 are Darlington Building Society, Roman Ltd, British American Tobacco, Sherwoods, Lingfield Point and Latimer Hinks.

They are encouraging everyone to come forward and ensure that the borough has the financial support it needs to create a healthy community for its residents.
