Darlington Champions aims to improve the quality of life for everyone in your town. We support local individuals, groups and charities and are determined not to leave out those in need.
Darlington Champions help people who are trying to raise themselves out of poverty, provide opportunities for the disadvantaged and champion people to excel in their chosen field. We support children, the elderly and homeless as well as community regeneration projects. If you love Darlington and choose to support us, you can be confident that 100% of our grants go to your town.
You can join Darlington Champions as either a business or an individual. Whichever way you choose to support us, you can be sure that you are making a lasting difference in the lives of people you care about.
You can choose the level of your involvement – either Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum as well as making a monthly or one-off donation.
Bronze and Silver Champions can choose to support good causes from the following categories and County Durham Foundation will find the best local projects and people to support to match your choice:
- Children and young people
- Elderly people
- Community regeneration
- Education, training and skills development
- General community support.
Gold and Platinum Champions can choose the good causes themselves from a range of projects suggested by County Durham Foundation. We will even hunt out good causes to match your requirements so there is no more trying to decide randomly who to support. This way, you can spread your charitable support to cover a wide range of issues rather than just one. You can even forward requests for financial support to County Durham Foundation, and we will deal with them on your behalf.
Our aim is to encourage local people and business to help local people. By coordinating our efforts, and revealing to you great projects and good causes that you wouldn’t find yourself, Darlington Champions will guarantee that your support is going to where it is really needed, and where it can make the most impact.
