Steam Shed in Darlington was set up with the help of the acclaimed
theatre company Chicken Shed. They offer opportunities for
every member of the community to become involved in drama,
music and dance. Their work is fully inclusive with members
from all cultural, physical ability and educational
backgrounds working on an equal basis.
Steam Shed were awarded £6,850 to purchase equipment, produce a DVD
and hold a recruitment campaign to increase awareness of their
work and increase their membership.
The additional equipment will
mean that the group can cater for an
expected increase in members and that those participating will
have a more interactive experience.
