£20m
education academy planned for Darlington
A £20m education academy in Darlington looks set to be given the
green light after Darlington Borough Council awarded planning
permission. A two-storey building with parking, three
football/rugby pitches, a cricket pitch and a games area are
due to be built on a 160-acre site at Hundens
Park.
The only sticking point could be a
number of complaints by local residents who are concerned by a
possible lack of privacy and the environmental impact of the
new academy.
