Care Partnership
 The
Pioneering Care Partnership in
Sedgefield received a grant of £2000 thanks
to local family-run
business and Platinum Champion,
Roman Ltd.
The grant was used to enable young disabled people to
participate in sports activities such as climbing
and swimming at a
local leisure centre.
The
group have been providing this
extremely valuable service for over
5 years now and with the help of Darlington Champions
they can expand their important work.
Jane
Hartley at the Partnership said: 'Many
thanks for the grant! The group have really grown
in confidence and their self esteem has really come
a long way.'
Chairman
of Roman ltd, Gerry Osbourne explained why he decided
to help groups like this through Darlington Champions: "By
becoming a Platinum Darlington Champion, I can help
to make Darlington as successful as we are. We are
absolutely thrilled to be able to do this so more
effectively by working with County Durham Foundation
and
becoming a Darlington Champion".
